High Heels + Socks?

As trends come and go, we think of new and interesting ones to replace it. I have seen a lot lately of high heels and socks being paired together and the big question that I think of it is.... Is it a faux pas or a yes? Some think that it shouldn't be paired together, but I, personally, think that with the right combination it can be a great attribute to an outfit. 2threads featured an article stating some celebrities wearing this trend as well as on the runway. This article also gives ideas on how to wear them. They stated that long or short socks could be paired with pumps or strappy heels. Use your own inner fashionista to create a look that is fashionable, but also unique.
